Transfer 41100 ICP to OpenChat Labs
Now that funding from the DFINITY foundation has ended and following on from the proposal to create OpenChat Labs we ask the OpenChat SNS DAO for funding.
This proposal is to transfer $175,000 worth of ICP from the OpenChat SNS DAO to the OpenChat Labs not-for-profit company to cover the costs of the core dev team and other expenses for Q3 (until end of September 2023). At the current exchange rate this is 41,100 ICP.
In addition to core dev team costs, this proposal covers the following expenses:
- accountancy & bookkeeping
- legal fees
- office equipment
- insurance
- off-chain services
This proposal does not include ICP for cycles to run the OpenChat dapp, or other on-chain costs such as community grants, which will continue to be funded by proposal as required.
If there is a shortfall in funding for Q3 due to a drop in ICP price during the voting period then we will make a further proposal to the OpenChat SNS DAO to cover the shortfall. Likewise if the ICP price increases during the voting period then we will transfer the excess ICP back to the OpenChat SNS DAO.
Our "best efforts" plan for Q3 is as follows:
- Finish building Communities and encourage communities from other platforms such as Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp and Slack to migrate to OpenChat.
- Support integrations of OpenChat into other dapps by building the apis, libraries and UI components required to make chat integration as seamless as possible.
