Node Machines

Node machines are high-end bare-metal server machines according to the ICP hardware specification. Node machines run the replica software and other software components required to participate in the Internet Computer blockchain. Nodes are independently owned and controlled by node providers, are distributed across data centers around the globe, and are organized into subnets that host canister smart contracts and add capacity to the Internet Computer.
