Summary

NFID Wallet continues to grow as the leading wallet in the ICP ecosystem, built by and for its users, deeply integrated with the stack, and focused on making the on-chain experience seamless, secure, and truly user-owned. This proposal gives the DAO another opportunity to invest in long-term growth, expand control over critical infrastructure, and strengthen NFID Wallet’s role as a secure, transparent, and multi-chain wallet across ICP and EVM ecosystems.

Summary We request a grant of 27639 ICP from the NFID Wallet DAO treasury to fund key deliverables for Q1 2026. These efforts focus on improving user transparency, performance, and security, while expanding asset visibility and developer adoption across ICP and EVM networks.

This quarter’s deliverables:

  • Discovery Page. Introduce a dedicated section showcasing applications integrated with NFID Wallet
  • Watch-Only Mode. Track balances and activity of any Principal without logging in or importing keys
  • Private Transaction Notes. Add secure, local notes to send transactions
  • Manual Sync / Refresh. Force a hard refresh of wallet data across tokens, NFTs, staking, and activity
  • EVM Testnet Support. Enable test networks with toggle controls and extended send/convert flows
  • NFT Support on EVM Networks. View and manage NFTs across supported EVM chains
  • ERC-20 & ICRC-1 Allowance Controls. Extend permissions management with full visibility and edit capabilities

Why This Matters NFID Wallet remains the only wallet on ICP where the DAO directly owns the product, infrastructure, and revenue streams. Each quarterly release compounds value by improving security, transparency, and usability for both users and developers.

In Q4 2025, NFID Wallet onboarded 750 new users while continuing to drive sustainable protocol revenue. Swap activity generated $3,821.27 in fees from a total swap volume of $436,716, while the convert feature generated $53.08 in fees from $6,066 in volume.

With Q1’s focus on discovery, watch-only access, permissions transparency, NFT performance, and hardened security, we are strengthening user trust while expanding the wallet’s role as a safe, observable, and developer-friendly entry point into both ICP and EVM ecosystems.

Scope of Work

  • Discovery Page. Introduce a new Discovery section highlighting applications that have integrated NFID Wallet. Applications are automatically surfaced by tracking connected dApps, with clear separation between apps that support global accounts and those that do not.
  • Watch-Only Mode. Allow users to view balances and activity for any Principal without authentication or key import, enabling safer monitoring and research workflows.
  • Private Notes for Transactions. Enable users to attach encrypted, local-only notes to send transactions for personal context and record keeping.
  • Manual Sync / Refresh. Add a Sync button that clears cached data and refreshes token balances, NFTs, staking positions, and activity history.
  • EVM Testnet Support. Enable EVM test networks for development and experimentation, including UI toggles and extended send and convert modals.
  • NFT Support on EVM Networks. Allow users to view and manage NFTs across all supported EVM chains directly within NFID Wallet.
  • ERC-20 & ICRC-1 Allowance Controls. Extend the Permissions screen to provide full visibility and control over token approvals, including updating approved amounts across networks.

Resourcing Estimate (person-weeks) Design 3, QA 5.5, Engineering 18.5, Project Manager 6, Operations 7 weeks. Total: 40 person-weeks.
