# Grant PokedStudioUK with $1m in Funding

## 1. Objective

This proposal aims to ensure the Internet Computer maximises the benefits obtained from the excellent skills shown by PokedStudioUK founder Jonathan Ball by ensuring he has the required funding to build on his impressive work.

## 2. Background

Jon Ball is the creative genius behind the ICP brands that have gained the most traction, from Motoko Ghosts to PokedBots. Jon’s artistic skills have never been doubted, it's only recently his full abilities have been showcased to the ICP community. Through the initial gamification of his PokedBots artwork, Jon has showcased his ability to work with game development teams on ICP to continue his track record of producing games.\

Jon has worked within the games industry for over 20 years, impressively collaborating with big brands such as Sony, Playstation, Ikea, The BBC, Hasbro & Mattel.\

A serial winner, Jon helped launch ICP and as we all agree, his branding for the entire project has been spot on. Jon has been a great early ICP investor, recycling profits back into the network, placing PokedBots perfectly to become ICPs first animated household name. Everything he touches does well, evident by the almost immediate selling out of his PokedBot collection.\
\
It also probably doesn't hurt him that he knows Dom personally but I respect him for not exploiting this relationship - He has never applied for funding for himself but I know he will need it to push onto the next level.

## 3. Why this is important

It is important to ensure projects that have been invested in are not left by the wayside. Jon has invested his investment back into ICP, delivered, and it's time to continue this process to ensure his work grows to the next level with ICP. On a broader level, it will increase investor confidence to see the foundation identify potentially profitable projects and bootstrap them to success. Jon’s work feels very low risk, has already shown his ability to pivot into new mediums, and it's this dynamism that is worth investing in.

## 4. Pros

\- PokedStudioUK leads the way in creating a truly gamified NFT brand.

\- Support shown for excellence.

\- Additional Tooling for gamification (Unity) created.

\- John will not take a salary instead opting to invest in other teams to work on the project. Jonathan is a professional founder, already identifying government and non government matched funding schemes to maximise the ROI for investors.
