# Upgrade the Bitcoin Testnet Canister

## Summary

This is the second proposal in the re-bootstrap process of the Bitcoin testnet canister, to be executed after [133308](https://dashboard.internetcomputer.org/proposal/133308), to rebootstrap the Bitcoin testnet canister. In this proposal, the uploader wasm is upgraded into the Bitcoin canister's wasm.

## Wasm Verification

The canister is upgraded to the same Wasm as the last regular release which was adopted in [132171](https://dashboard.internetcomputer.org/proposal/132171).

NOTE: This process is not yet guaranteed to match on Apple Silicon.

# Build all the docker canisters.
$ docker build -t canisters .

# Extract canister's wasm.
$ docker run --rm --entrypoint cat canisters /ic-btc-canister.wasm.gz > ic-btc-canister.wasm.gz

# Calculate SHA-256 of the canister's wasm.
$ sha256sum ic-btc-canister.wasm.gz

You should then see the following output:

## Upgrade Args Verification
A set of arguments are passed to the canister to set the correct configuration for the Bitcoin testnet.
